Day 1 Casablanca – Rabat- Chefchaouen:
We will pick you up at your hotel in Casablanca or at the airport and head to Chefchaouen. We will pass through Rabat Kenetra and Ksser lakbir, then we will arrive in the blue city where we will spend the night in an authentic Riad in the medina.
Day 2 Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
After a tasty breakfast, our journey continues to Volubilis crossing Ouazan and other villages in the Rif. In Volubilis, we will explore the Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan history. We will continue to Meknes, stop for lunch and explore the historic walls of the medina with Bab el Mansour and visit the Moulay Ismail sanctuary. In the afternoon we will arrive in Fez where we will spend the night.
Day 3 Exploring Fez
We will start the day exploring the oldest city in Morocco, crossing its narrow streets. We will begin the visit at the door of the Royal Palace. We assure you that we will visit all the sites of cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region. We will also visit the tanneries, the Attarine museum and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, we will visit many different cooperatives and you will discover a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fez.
Day 4 Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
In the morning we will leave for the Atlas Mountains stopping to visit the town of Ifrane, where we will have the opportunity to explore the famous cedar forest, which is home to monkeys. We will continue through the Midelt and Tiz Ntalghamt mountain pass and the Ziz gorge. Finally we will arrive at Merzouga, where our camp is located to have dinner and spend the night
Day 5 Exploring the desert of Merzouga
Today’s program will be to explore the desert and its surroundings, towns and cities. After heading out to explore Merzouga and crossing the Paris-Dakar Rally track, we will enjoy a visit to the locals and watch them extract fossils. Then we visit the nomads, who still take the tents as home, and share a glass of Moroccan mint tea. The village of Khamlia is our next place. This town is ancient and cultural. You will have the opportunity to listen to the style of Gnawa Music. For lunch, you will try Berber Pizza (Medfouna). Then, we visit Lake Merzouga. After that, you will go back to the hotel in Mezouga.
DAY 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Boumalen Dades
After seeing a beautiful sunrise view over the Merzouga desert, we headed to visit the Todra Gorges (the highest in Morocco). Then we continue to Boulman Dades Tinghir driving through Tinghir. We will spend the night in a hotel in Boulman Dades
Day 7 Dadès Valley – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech:
After breakfast, we will cross the Dadès valley to Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through the Dadès valley is called the path of the thousands of Kasbahs, where we will be able to take many photographs. We will stop at Kalaat Mgouna, “The City of Roses”, to buy rose water, which will make the smell of your clothes much more pleasant after the trip. We will continue to Ouarzazate. We will have lunch in the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the most famous kasbah in Morocco, a world heritage site. Our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi ‘n’ tichka pass (2260 m) in the High Atlas mountains, where we will visit the argan oil production process in the women’s cooperatives before arriving at the accommodation in Marrakech.
Day 8 Marrakech – Tour Guid
Today we will have a guided visit to Marrakech. We will explore the main attractions and monuments of the city, such as the famous Jamma el Fna square, the Kotubia mosque, the souks, palaces and museums. We will also discover parts of the city such as Gueliz, Menara Gardens and Marjolle. We will spend the night in the same hotel.
Day 9 transfer to The Airport
Breakfast and transfer to the airport.
