Excursions from Marrakech
We also have excursions lasting one day (round trip without night) to the most important and interesting destinations to visit such as the Ouzoud Waterfalls, Ourika Valley, Essaouira, Ouarzazate.
From Marrakech to the Ouzoud Waterfalls
Marrakech › Ouzoud Waterfalls
In the early morning, we will start the excursion to the Ouzoud Waterfalls, located 160 km from Marrakech in the province of Tanaghmeilt, in the Atlas Mountains. These waterfalls are the most spectacular in North Africa as they have a height of 110 meters and are divided into 3 parts. We will have the opportunity to take a pleasant walk through the waterfalls where we can see monkeys in the area. We will visit the traditional watermills and at noon we will be able to enjoy a wonderful Moroccan meal with views of the waterfalls. In the afternoon we will return to the city of Marrakech.
From Marrakech to the Ourika Valley
Marrakech › Ourika Valley
Early in the morning, we will start our excursion to the lush Ourika Valley and the many small villages along the valley. We will continue to Setti Fatma where we can enjoy the delicious gastronomy of the area and a walk through the waterfalls. In the afternoon we will return to Marrakech.
From Marrakech to Essaouira
Early in the morning, we will start our excursion to Essaouira. In about 3 hours on the way, we will arrive at the old port of Mogador, built by the Portuguese on a narrow peninsula next to a large crescent of fine sand. From the top of the Skala, we can see the fishing port, the fortresses, and the Spanish canyons. The city is largely pedestrianized and divided into different neighborhoods in a grid pattern. It is perfectly walled since the 18th century by the French. Essaouira is also famous for its refined craftsmanship, especially of wooden objects (tuya) interspersed with lemonwood, ebony, mother-of-pearl, or copper or silver threads. During the visit, we can enjoy a wonderful meal in the port. Return to Marrakech in the afternoon.
Marrakech ›Ouarzazate (one day without night)
Early in the morning, we will start our excursion to Ouarzazate. We will cross the Grand Atlas enjoying incredible views and passing through numerous Berber villages and sellers of semi-precious stones until we reach Tizi n’Tichka, the highest mountain pass at 2,260 m. However, upon reaching the south, we will trade the impressive mountains for a different semi-desert landscape. Along the river on the way to Ouarzazate, we will find kasbahs and small houses of mud and straw that contrast with the green fields around them. The visit to Ouarzazate, a modern military city, built by the French on the edge of the Sahara, includes the former residence of Pacha El Glaui, the kasbah of Taourirt and Ait Benhaddou, one of the most important ancient towns declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco and famous among film directors, and the Atlas Studios, which make it one of the most interesting visits. In the afternoon we will return to Marrakech.
