This 7 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech takes you to explore some of the most stunning places in Morocco, combining history, culture, natural landscapes, and adventure. You start in Tangier, visiting the Medina, the Cave of Hercules, and Cape Spartel, where the Mediterranean and Atlantic meet. Then, you head to Chefchaouen, the famous “Blue City,” known for its blue-painted streets and relaxed atmosphere. Next, you continue to Fes, where you explore its medieval medina, the Al Quaraouiyine University, and the traditional tanneries. From there, you travel to Volubilis, the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco, and Meknes, an imperial city full of history.
The journey takes you to the Merzouga Desert, where you experience a night in a Berber camp, camel rides, and a sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Start this 7 days tour from Tangier, departure from Tangier beyond the city of Tetoune. To fully enjoy the breathtaking view of the landscape; we will stop to rest in Chefchaouen in a square surrounded by funky handicraft stores that radiate color. After a tasty breakfast, our journey continues to Volubilis, crossing Ouazan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis, we will explore the Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan history.
Continuing on to Meknes, we will stop for lunch and explore the historic walls of the medina with Bab el Mansour, and visit the shrine of Moulay Ismail. Later in the afternoon, we will drive to Fez where we will spend the night.
with a rich breakfast in your riad, we will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, Fez walking in its alleys and small streets. Our tour begins by visiting the gate of the Royal Palace, the Jewish headquarters, the first Mellah built in Morocco, built during the 16th century. We will make sure you visit all the sites of cultural and historical interest, with a local guide who speaks your language, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the tanneries, the Attarine museum and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fez, after the visit we will leave Fez towards Midelt crossing Ifran the swiss of Morocco to enjoy a stop in the forest where the Monkeys exist then we continue our adventure to the hotel in Boulaajoul or in Midelt overnight at the hotel.
In the morning, you will travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud through the Middle Atlas Mountains with Berber villages passing through Medilt “apple capital”, then through Tiz Ntalghamt and the Ziz gorges, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau, where you will notice how the landscape changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the town of Errachidia, have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality. Afterwards, you will travel through the lush Ziz valley, stopping to enjoy panoramic views along Erfoud and Rissani. Arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon, you will ride your camel, guided by an experienced guide to explore what is hidden in the middle of the highest sand dunes in Morocco. Dinner will be served in front of the tent where you will spend the night in a bivouac.
After breakfast, we will go to Rissani, known for its souk, little frequented by tourists. It is undoubtedly one of the most authentic markets in the south of Morocco. After visiting the city of Rissani, we will head towards the Todra Gorges, located on the eastern side of the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The Todra Gorges are recognized worldwide as one of the most spectacular rocky canyons. It is a place that enjoys a great reputation among climbers around the world. We will continue our tour to the Dades valley stay at overnight at hotel roiad with dinner and breakfast.
After breakfast, we will continue our visit to Ouarzazate through a thousand Kasbah stopping at Kalaat Mgouna, the center of the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual Festival of Roses. Then we will cross Ait Ben Haddou.
