This 4-day tour from Marrakech to Fes offers a rich journey through Morocco’s mountains, valleys, and desert. You’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains, visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou, and explore the Skoura oasis, Dades Valley, and Todra Gorges. In Merzouga, you’ll ride camels across the dunes, sleep in a desert camp, and enjoy local music and culture. You’ll also visit nomads, Khamlia village, and travel through the Ziz Valley and Middle Atlas Mountains before arriving in Fes. It’s a perfect mix of adventure, nature, and Moroccan tradition.
Departure in the morning to Ouarzazate crossing the high Atlas “Tizi – N-Tichka” (2260m), we will have stops to visit and take pictures of the beautiful landscapes of different colors and Berber villages. Then we will visit the ancient Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou to discover its wonders. After lunch, we will continue driving through the Dadès Valley making a stop in Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the city of Roses passing by the fascinating palace of Skoura. We arrive in Dadès Valley in the evening for dinner at the overnights at hotel.
After breakfast, we will start our trip to the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Before leaving, we will visit the Dadès Gorges, to continue driving to Tinghir. There will be free time to walk, take pictures and enjoy the scenery. Then we will go to the city of Tinjdad where we will stop for lunch, and then we will go to the desert of Merzouga where we will explore the dunes on the back of camels to see the beautiful desert sunset. We will arrive at the camp where a unique dinner will be waiting for us accompanied by local nomadic Berber musicians playing traditional music with drums and dancing around a bonfire. On this day, you’ll explore the desert region more deeply. After breakfast, you’ll take a 4×4 tour around the dunes, visit nomadic families who live in tents, and discover how they live in the desert. You’ll also visit the village of Khamlia, where you can enjoy traditional Gnawa music performed by locals. Lunch can be enjoyed in the village or at the camp. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to relax, try sandboarding, or take another short camel ride. Dinner and overnight at the same desert camp or nearby hotel.
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. You’ll return to your vehicle and begin the drive toward Fes. On the way, you’ll pass through the lush Ziz Valley with its thousands of palm trees, and continue to Midelt, where you’ll stop for lunch. Afterward, drive through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you may see wild monkeys. You’ll have a short break in Ifrane, a clean town known as “the Switzerland of Morocco.” Arrival in Fes in the evening and drop-off at your riad end our 4 days tour from Marrakech to Fes.

The camel ride is relatively easy and comfortable for most people. You will be riding for about 1-2 hours each way, and camels move slowly, giving you plenty of time to adjust.
Essentials include comfortable clothing, a scarf or hat for sun protection, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, a camera, and a jacket for cooler evenings in the desert.
