This 8-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech takes you to explore some of the most stunning places in Morocco, combining history, culture, natural landscapes, and adventure. You start in Tangier, visiting the Medina, the Cave of Hercules, and Cape Spartel, where the Mediterranean and Atlantic meet. Then, you head to Chefchaouen, the famous “Blue City,” known for its blue-painted streets and relaxed atmosphere. Next, you continue to Fes, where you explore its medieval medina, the Al Quaraouiyine University, and the traditional tanneries. From there, you travel to Volubilis, the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco, and Meknes, an imperial city full of history.

The journey takes you to the Merzouga Desert, where you experience a night in a Berber camp, camel rides, and a sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. On the way back, you visit Ait Ben Haddou, a kasbah that has been the setting for many films, and Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” Finally, you arrive in Marrakech, famous for its vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the Medina, the Majorelle Gardens, and the Koutoubia Mosque.

Itinerary of the 8 days route from Tangier

Dia 1Tánger - Tetuán - Chefchaouen

Start this 8 days route from Tangier to Marrakech, departure from Tangier beyond the city of Tetoune. To fully enjoy the breathtaking view of the landscape; we will stop to rest in Chefchaouen in a square surrounded by funky handicraft stores that radiate color. It is also home to many restaurants and rooftop cafes, also available in the Riads, where you can enjoy the rest of the evening with a beautiful breeze and wonderful views.

Dia 2Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After a tasty breakfast, our journey continues to Volubilis, crossing Ouazan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis, we will explore the Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan history.
Continuing on to Meknes, we will stop for lunch and explore the historic walls of the medina with Bab el Mansour, and visit the shrine of Moulay Ismail. Later in the afternoon, we will drive to Fez where we will spend the night.

Dia 3Fes

We will start the day exploring the oldest city in Morocco, crossing its narrow alleys and narrow streets. We will begin our visits at the gate of the Royal Palace. We ensure you visit all the sites of cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region.
We will also visit the tanneries, the Attarine museum and the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. After lunch, you will visit many different cooperatives and then discover a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fez.

Dia 4Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

In the morning departure to the Atlas Mountains stopping to visit the village of Ifrane, where we will have the opportunity to explore the famous cedar forest, which houses the Berber monkeys. Then we continue through the mountain pass of Tiz Ntalghamt and the Ziz Gorge in Midelt. Then we continue to Merzouga, arriving at our camp where we spend the night.

Dia 5Merzouga - Garganta del Todra - Dades Valley

We will wake up and head to a local hotel where you can freshen up and enjoy a free breakfast before heading to Ouarzazate. On the way, visit the Berber villages visiting the Todra and Dades Gorges. In Dades Gorge, we stop at a local hotel where we have dinner and spend the night.

Dia 6Valle de los Dades - Valle de la Rose - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

After breakfast, we will continue our visit to Ouarzazatte through a thousand Kasbah stopping at Kalaat Mgouna, the center of the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual Festival of Roses. Then we will cross Ait Ben Haddou.
Dinner and overnight at Riad in Marrakech.

Día 7 Marrakech - Guided tours

Today we will have a guided tour of Marrakech. You will explore the main attractions and monuments of the city, such as the famous Jamma el Fna square, the Kotubia Mosque, the souks, palaces and museums. We will also explore parts of the city such as Gueliz, Menara Gardens and Marjolle.
